Final Renfest pictures

September 22, 2008

Here are the final pictures from Renfest (the ones that stood out).

Here is another one from a walk last weekend. The image didn’t originally come out how I imagined the scene, so I desaturated most of the image except for some of the extreme yellow and extreme green channels. I hope you like it.

MD Renaissance Festival

September 12, 2008

last weekend my family and I went to the MD Renfest on the spur of the moment. It ended up turning out really well and everyone had a lot of fun. I’ve only gotten my B&W pictures developed so far, but I’ll finish the roll of color film and have it developed soon. Important note to anyone with teething children, Licorice root is great, it tastes good, has a nice texture for the gums and helps settle the stomach (plus all organic).

* Other site update, I now have comparisons of the Sigma 400mm f/5.6 at different aperatures and the difference a teleconverter makes.

Back from vacation

September 3, 2008

I got back from 6 days in Ocean City yesterday and I have a ton of pictures (about 110). I’ll have the first round of pictures up Friday and the rest sometime early next week. In the mean time I have some updates on equipment (cameras section, a new lens (Vivitar 1.5x teleconverter) and a new accessory (winder 2)).
