New lens

March 30, 2009

I recently bought a Zuiko 85mm f/2 lens. Its one of the final versions of the lens and in mint condition. You can read the page I created on it through the link on the side. Its a wonderful lens and delightful to use (though I haven’t had a chance to use it much, yet). I should have some sample shots up shortly including some lens test shots. Check back in a few days for them.

Last blast of winter

March 13, 2009

I scanned the last of the pictures on the roll, including some from the last blast of winter the sweep through Maryland till winter comes around again. Or at least I certainly hope it was the last bit of winter.

Swim time

March 11, 2009

I finally got the roll developed from my Son’s swim class. I really gave my Sigma 70-210mm f/2.8 APO a work out there. The light levels were just high enough to be useful for shooting with 400 speed film (around 1/250s and f/2.8 to 1/125s and f/3.5), I had my flash just in case, but I didn’t use it.

A few shots were with my Tamron 28mm f/2.5 and a couple out of the poll were with my Zuiko 50mm f/1.4. I’ve scanned the first half of the roll, the rest (mostly no swim pictures) will be scanned in the next few days.
