apparently it has been about 3 months since I last blogged. Much longer than I had planned, but life is still hectic. Things are calming down a bit, but I think it is going to take spring weather and the completion of a couple of projects still in process to really get back to taking picture like I would like to.
At any rate, I do have some new pictures. Really nothing else new on the photography side of things (no new gear). I am looking forward to things blossoming this spring and we are seeing some of that starting here in Maryland. After sending these pictures to myself to post I realized a couple of them needed a bit more tweaking to remove negative scratches and dust. *sigh*
The boys are getting bigger and bigger. Jack is now 3 and Henry is mere days from 1.
We ended up with a bit of an ice storm mid winter that left some delightfully encrusted roses and bushes in our front yard. It was a good excuse to bust out my macro lens and tripod. Sadly it was also pretty windy, so I only managed a few sharp pictures out of the dozen or so attempts. It was only 8am in the morning, in the winter, with overcast weather and ISO160 film.
The tree pictures are the ones that really needed the better dust/scratch removal, and especially the first one better color balancing and contrast leveling. *sigh*, oh well. Easy enough to bang out in photoshop when I get home.
Hopefully you enjoy the pictures despite the poor post processing.
PS With spring I hope also comes another backpacking trip. Time will tell.
