Happy 4th of July (posted a couple of hours early). I’ve been having a great time as relatives trickle in. The photog-raphy is going very well. I am infinitely glad that I did decide to get the E-M5 as well as the lens I have gotten. I am hoping that the rumors of an Olympus 25mm f1.8 are true as I’ve been finding as useful as the Sigma 30mm is, 25mm would just work better for me (as would a faster standard/close to standard lens). If not that, then definitely the Panasonic 20mm this fall.
I’ve also been shooting a lot more with the Olympus 17mm than I thought I would and not simply to “try it out more”. I think I am gravitating back toward my film days (all of a month ago) and really resonating with the old 24/35/50/85mm focal lengths. the 45mm is close enough to not make a real difference, the 17mm the same, I just need to get the Zuko 12mm (going to be a long time in coming, sigh) and Someone needs to come out with a cheaper 25mm lens.
Anyway, happy Fourth of July, thanks to all those who make America a great place, despite its occasional warts, and I hope all of you have a safe, restful and fun holiday.
