Cloth camera straps, especially of the style from the late 60’s through the early 80’s are called Tapestry straps. They are made from cloth and are frequently highly decorated. The hand-me-down OM-1 from my Dad had the elegant red and navy colored strap and my OM-1n has a blue tapestry strap that I purchased from Ritz camera, it is a Kalimar strap that I bought for $5. It has 3 film holders on it that can hold cannisters of film (see picture).
Both straps are very fitting for the camera considering the cameras’ age and vintage look. On top of all this the camera straps are both very comfortable. They breath better then any rubber or neoprene material I have tried and they distribute the weight suprisingly well.
